Solved: Read Disk error press alt control delete

    Had this problem yesterday, dell 4550 desktop xp. Tried all the fix, rebuild boot header, and several others, from the repair function on a xp disk nothing worked. Cloned disk to new drive and fixed.
    Do not know why but it worked.

    It most likely worked due to a read error on the original hard disk.
