Hello, like a clown I deleted something that I wanted from my phone card.
Is there anyway that I can get it back without it costing an arm or a leg?
I tried something called recuva but I had no joy at all with it.
I am grateful any advice, thank you.

    Your phone card?
As in the memory in the SIM card or a MicroSD?

Not the sim card, I don't think, but the memory card you put in the side of the sony ericssons.
I will give photorec a try.
    Thank you both.

Fantastic. That's 2 recoveries so far with that one, so I guess it works for other people, too.

I was a bit confused with it at first - being a computer incompetent - I wasn't used to the interface (?). But once I worked it out it worked like a charm and recovered over 100 deleted files from there; mp3s mostly.
    I was most impressed.

I wouldn't blame myself if I were you. The other member of that family, Testdisk, is also very hard to figure out, but restores partitions like magic. I don't think it's just you and me--they just are not easy to use. But worth the trouble. ;D
