Hi, I recently uninstalled Verizon 4.0. When I installed from disc, a "Verizon version of IE was installed. I now have an IE toolbar with a large black and white icon that rotates when browsing. How can I get rid of this. I have run my start up to see if its there, reg cleaner, etc. I also tried to install another IE from the windows site, but it wouldn't install. Any help would be appreciated. This was a dial up version and not the DSL.

A possible simpler solution is if a vendor has replaced the normal Internet Explorer spinning logo with their own, it is very easy to set it back to the default without editing the registry directly.

    Go to Start / Run
    Enter in rundll32 iedkcs32.dll,Clear
Now start up your browser and the spinning logo will be back to the default.

Thanks Bob, I had a problem at first as I thought the registry would open. But when I looked up it was gone. Very easy "fix". Thanks for helping to rid the "hex"

I just wanted to say thank you so much for this. I had the same issue and just couldn't figure it out. I am so glad to have the BIG V gone from IE. Thanks, Michelle K.
