    Due to a faulty gfx, I'm going for a new gfx off http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php
    Anyone got any suggestions in terms of value for price? I just need it to play games like Sims 3 and Mass Effect 2 without any lag or problems.

    Looks good, how should I go about removing the old drivers and software?

    Can you boot into safe or normal mode with the old card? If so, then just remove the driver from add/remove programs in control panel. If the system will not boot at all, then do the following;
    1 Replace the card with the new one
    2 Pw ON and enter safe mode; uninstall from safe mode. Reboot and cancel any found new hardware wiz.
    3 Download the latest driver from the amd/ati site [drivers on a support cd are often very old/outdated]
    4 Install the latest driver.

    FWIW I never install CCC. I just install the bare driver. IMO CCC is buggy at best.
