first uninstall new.net from add/remove programs in control panel then reboot &
run hijackthis, tick all below, doublecheck to make sure you haven't missed any, close all

browser windows & press fix checked

O4 - Global Startup: Date Manager.lnk = C:\Program Files\Date Manager\DateManager.exe
O4 - Global Startup: PrecisionTime.lnk = C:\Program Files\PrecisionTime\PrecisionTime.exe

then empty your Temporary Internet Files, because you have a couple of viruses lurking there
then reboot & delete the following files or folders
C:\Program Files\Date Manager\ entire folder
C:\Program Files\PrecisionTime entire folder
C:\Program Files\ebkrdr\ entire folder
then download AdAware 6 181
Before you scan with AdAware, check for updates of the reference file by using the

"webupdate".

Then ........

Make sure the following settings are made and on -------"ON=GREEN"
From main window :Click "Start" then " Activate in-depth scan"

then......

click "Use custom scanning options>Customize" and have these options on: "Scan within

archives" ,"Scan active processes","Scan registry", "Deep scan registry" ,"Scan my IE Favorites for

banned URL" and "Scan my host-files"

then.........

go to settings(the gear on top of AdAware)>Tweak>Scanning engine and tick "Unload recognized

processes during scanning" ...........then........"Cleaning engine" and tick "Automaticly try to

unregister objects prior to deletion" and "Let windows remove files in use at next reboot"

then...... click "proceed" to save your settings.

Now to scan it´s just to click the "Scan" button.

When scan is finished, mark everything for removal and get rid of it.

then
Download Spybot - Search & Destroy from http://security.kolla.de

After installing, first press Online, and search for, put a check mark at, and install all updates.
Next, close all Internet Explorer and OE windows, hit 'Check for Problems', and have SpyBot

remove all it finds that is marked in RED.

and

Run an online antivirus check from at least one of the following sites
http://security.symantec.com/default.asp?
http://housecall.trendmicro.com/
http://www.pandasoftware.com/activescan/

Hi Margriet, and welcome to TSG.. :)

First, could you go to Start | Settings | Control Panel | Add/Remove Programs and scroll down the list and Remove Newdotnet.

Then could you run HJT again, close all browser windows, check to fix the following items, then click the Fix checked button...

R0 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Search,SearchAssistant =

O2 - BHO: BabeIE - {00000000-0000-0000-0000-000000000000} - C:\PROGRA~1\COMMON~2\Toolbar\cnbabe.dll (file missing)

O2 - BHO: (no name) - {4A2AACF3-ADF6-11D5-98A9-00E018981B9E} - C:\Program Files\NewDotNet\newdotnet5_40.dll

O2 - BHO: (no name) - {EF99BD32-C1FB-11D2-892F-0090271D4F88} - (no file)

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [UpdReg] C:\WINDOWS\Updreg.exe

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [Microsoft Works Update Detection] C:\Program Files\Microsoft Works\WkDetect.exe

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [Launcher] "C:\Program Files\MLH\launcher.exe" /P

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [System Tray] C:\Documents and Settings\Algemeen\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5\CPEJGDIV\doc_details (1).pif

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [New.net Startup] rundll32 C:\PROGRA~1\NEWDOT~1\NEWDOT~2.DLL,NewDotNetStartup

O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [CTFMON.EXE] C:\WINDOWS\System32\ctfmon.exe

O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [Microsoft Works Update Detection] C:\Program Files\Microsoft Works\WkDetect.exe

O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [media_manager] C:\Program Files\ebkrdr\mediaman.exe

O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [MessengerPlus2] "

O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [AutoUpdater] C:\WINDOWS\System32\aupdate.exe

O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [System Tray] C:\Documents and Settings\Algemeen\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5\CPEJGDIV\doc_details (1).pif

O4 - Global Startup: Date Manager.lnk = C:\Program Files\Date Manager\DateManager.exe

O4 - Global Startup: Herinneringen van Microsoft Works Agenda.lnk = ?

Then could you please download Spybot - Search & Destroy, from www.tomcoyote.org/spybot : if you haven't already got the program.

Now press Settings, and Settings again. Go to the Webupdate section, and check "Display also available beta versions".

Now press Online, and search for, put a check mark at, and install all updates.

Next, close all Internet Explorer windows, hit 'Check for Problems', and have SpyBot remove all it finds marked RED.

Now, could you reboot and post a new HJT! log, just for a final once over...

Cheers
