Hello all,

I have a friend who is having this problem with her computer. When she tries to access certain websites (which she could previously access), she can no longer access them.

She has reformatted the hard drive and everything, so it seems that the problem must be her router. I do not know what brand of router she is using.

Is it possible that her router is preventing her from accessing certain sites?

I'll try to get more information on this one, but since she lives overseas, it might take awhile.

Thanks in advance!

Yes your router can be set to block sites.

Also, you didn't mention "which country".

For example, in China, everything in geocities is blocked.

Well, I just found out that the problem was not the router.

Seems the website had accidentally banned my friend, instead of the person they had intended!

Anyway: it's all fixed now... but, thanks!

(I didn't know that about geocities and China though. Very interesting...)
