I have made a file on the desktop and put all of my favorite songs in it from another folder. When I double click on one of the songs it plays in winamp, alls fine-but how do I save the folder that I made in the winamp thing so I don't have to add the folder everytime?

try this although I am not a winamp expert, that's my son

open winamp, go to the add button, select add dir, select the folder you have stored to and hit okay.

Once all the songs are displayed to to the list opts button and save the list.

Anytime you want those songs you can just select the list and play.

and if the list should accidentally get removed from the menu you can use the list opts button to load it again.

lisag ... right in the middle of the winamp player you will see an arrow pointing up..(just past the play arrows that point right , stop button & then pause & rewind)... a triangle shaped arrow... click on it & it opens a directory ...from it you can scroll to the proper directory ( desktop ) then you can click on the file you have music in to select songs from to play one at a time... this will let you choose single songs only

Thanks SavvyLady!

I love that feature! Sometimes when I find a really great song I want to play it over and over. I didn't even know that was there, thanks again.
