When I click on the save icon on the toolbar nothing happens. I've tried right click, double click but no luck.

What happens when you click on File - then click on Save?

I'm new to Word 2007 myself, but when I save a document the first time, I click on the big logo in the upper left corner and choose Save As... in the drop down. Then I browse to the place I want to keep that document and give it a title. On subsequent use, I click on the log and choose Save. It works very well.

Could not find file option but the large logo in the upper left corner works well. Just when I was getting the hang of 2003 now here comes 2007.
    Thanks again!

F12 is the hotkey for Save As if you want to save it with a different name.
