I am curious to know, can a full sd card cause equipment to malfunction? Can the sd card just be bad? I have this camera and it worked fine and then all of a sudden lights and buttons weren't working properly. I would have no knowledge at all about the inner workings of the camera itself to even look to determine if it is the camera. I'm leaning more to the card malfunctioning. I guess to tell would be to buy a new card correct?

I think it would be more likely that a defective camera can ruin an SD card than the reverse.

Does your camera function with the SD card removed?

I don't think an SD card could cause a camera to malfunction like that.

But try removing the SD card and operating the camera. If it works normally, you know the card is your problem.

I put in a new sd card into the camera, and now the status lights and video lights are working normal.

So the camera works with a new SD card?
