    Gidday Tech Support Guys

I'm having trouble accessing Google lately. Sometimes I can, then I try again and I can't ("Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage"). I was having the same problem connecting to cnet.com.au for a while, but that seems OK now.

I have Windows7 Home Premium (32 bit) and IE8 on a Pavilion Notebook, using Zone Alarm and Avast. The other computers here can get Google OK through the same Router (Billion BIPAC 7401VGPM).

I tried Google Chrome, same problem. I tried with Zone Alarm off, no change.

I downloaded HiJackThis. The log file:

I looked at a lot of forums about similar problems, but I'm not keen to edit the registry.

    Can anyone help?

    Thanks Phantom010.

I had read the first link. I read it again, then skipped to the last bit, changed my DNS (whatever that is) and I can connect to Google again. However, as the problem was intermittent, would it be OK if I don't mark this as solved for a few days?

Gotta test it to be sure. Either way, I will let you know how it goes.

Thanks very much for your help.

Hi Phantom010. Here we are, a few days later and still working OK. No side effects or problems. Thanks very much for your advice.
