    System is Win.XP Professional / SP3
    Total Physical Memory 1,024 MB
    Available Physical Memory 429.74 MB
    Total Virtual Memory 20 GB
    Available Virtual Memory 1.96 GB
    BIOS Version/Date Intel Corp. BT84510A.31T.0005.P04.0206181600, 6/18/2002
    Processor x86 Family 15 Model 2 Stepping 7 Genuine Intel ~2533 Mhz
So, I have run 3 different antivirus scans.....nothing
I have turned off the firewalls......nothing
    Rebooted a hundred times....nothing....
I am using Roadrunner LAN service & always have a very good connection.

    Now the problem:
I have been getting automatic updates from Microsoft since I installed Office Prof. 2007 that fail to install. The little Icon is always in the tray trying to install these two & they always fail & then keep repeating the process.
    These are the two:

SECURITY UPDATE FOR THE 2007 MICROSOFT OFFICE SYSTEM (KB969613)
SECURITY UPDATE FOR THE 2007 MICROSOFT OFFICE SYSTEM (KB969679)

Anyone have any ideas what could be wrong?

You're contradicting yourself here. Did Office 2007 install or did it fail to install?

Look in the C:\Program Files folder. Is there a Microsoft Office folder present?

Click the yellow shield icon, uncheck those 2 entries, then select not to have them appear again.

Go to the Windows Updates site and do a scan and see if those updates appear there.
