I was wondering if there is a way to create a file description that appears when the cursor hovers over an icon. Sometimes I forget why I saved file and need a prod. I thought there was a way in XP to do this. Thanks in advance for your consideration! Have a great day!

Hi vaxit and welcome to TSG.

Do you mean you do not get a tooltip when hovering?
If so, go into Folder Options>View tab and check "Show pop up description for folder and desktop items" and OK.

Got it. You already have the tooltip showing.
Right click the file>Properties>Summary tab.
You can add comments that will display in the tooltip.
