I ran a diagnostic on my hard drives (both are Western Digital) and it displayed a warning that my Seek Error Rate in my master drive was down 100. This is still quite a new hard drive (about a month old) so I didn't think it should be that bad.

Is there a way to check for thermal widening of the hard disc, servo damage or a mechanical positioning failure (this is the explaination of this error from their site) -

The program originally used is Active SMART 2.4
