Solved: Shockwave player problem

i have a problem installing shockwave player. whenever a site needs the player it starts installing it, it then ask to close all ie windows. i allow it to do that. it than installs and launches the ie window so that i can use the online app. but it tries to install shockwave again. and it does it over and over again and never actually finishes, why is this happaning? how do i fix it?

You may have to uninstall and reinstall the player. Go to this Macromedia troubleshooting page for instructions on installing on windows xp.

Do you clean out your Downloaded Program Files?
Macromedia uses those files. If you do clean it, you might consider keeping those files.

IE Privacy Keeper
On the Internet Explorer Tab, just uncheck Folder for Downloads
Then see if that solves the problem.
