Just trying to do a template for a blood pressure chart, which has 2 components "SBP" and "DPB".

Not thinking straight and the attached sheet shows certain figures in a mock up sheet just for 14 days.

I would like a bar chart to show Date , sbp figure and dpb figure all on the one chart and for it to be over say 31 days.

    Thanks

    Pedro

    Etaf, That looks pretty good.

Does the graph provide for say 31 days, and would it update automatically as each day is added?

Can it be named "BLOOD PRESSURE MEASUREMENTS"?

And can "DATE" be placed at bottom of chart.

Finally can you run through steps to get to the finished product?

    Thanks in advance

    Pedro

and I can describe / find a tutorial for that - but have to go out now - so will be later today

I had a go at the charting process and result is shown as Chart 2 on attached file.

My only questions at this stage are
    1. How did you end up with all the dates whereas my attempt is at 2 day intervals (which suits anyway)
    2. How can I put the name "Charlie Brown" below "BLOOD PRESSURE MEASUREMENT" rather than on the same line?
    Am using Excel 2003
    Thanks
    Pedro

    Solved Question 2 above.
Simply left clicked on Title and placed cursor in front of words I wanted on 2nd line and hit enter.

Now all I need to know is answer to question 1
    1. How did you end up with all the dates whereas my attempt is at 2 day intervals (which suits anyway)

Sorry about that, new file is attached .
You will note it has 2 charts (i am just experimenting).

I am having trouble previewing attachment so it may not show.

If this is the case at what stage of procedure did you select "show all dates"

    Thanks
    Pedro

select A2 to D33 and then use that range to plot - all dates will be shown and as you add the data it will automatically appear on the chart

I see you mean the dates actually showing on the x-axis - excel will use what it feels is the best way of displaying based on default values

If you click on the actual x-axis - you can change the format
    format axis
Scale you can change the Units there - so all dates are displayed

    see chart 2
    i have modified

Yep, can be quite simple - trick is knowing where to look and what to look for - often in excel

post back any questions - no matter how simple
