    Hi
I am burning data to a dual layer DVD. Will a single layer DVD drive be able to read this?

    Thanks

If the DVD drive's specification specifically state it will not read a dual layer DVD, then it will not read the dual layer disc you created.

I have never come across a DVD drive that will only read single layer discs. There are combination DVD reader/burner drives that will only burn a single layer disc but most, if not all, have no problem reading a dual layer disc.
