Hi...My desktop computer has slowed down to a crawl. Here's what has happened in the last while: I didn't use the computer for about 2 months. When I started to use it a few days ago, I found that navigating around the web was OK at first, but after a little usage, things really slow down. Even navigating today, in this Forum, is very slow. I have drefragged, cleaned the disk and temp files, ran the antivirus and anti spyware programs, CC, etc. It seems that I need to restart the computer every time to get things moving. The task manager usually has one program running in it. I have even set the computer for the 'best performance' level so I don't get the fancy graphics. I have about 12 gigs free space left out of a 40 gig hard drive, with about 1.4 MB of RAM. What else can I do ? Or is it time for some major surgery or a new machine? Thanks.
