Does anyone know what a .smd file is or what to open it with?

I downloaded this file from a Spanish web site while looking for a Scooby doo game for my son.

I think it is some kind of game file but it will not open on my Compaq. ( Window comes up wanting to what to use to open it)

    Can anyone help? Thanks!

The only thing I can find is ( StarOffice Mail ) When searching for it I found a site http://www.sun.com but it never loads. On the other hand if you know Spanish you can go to http://www.sun.es/tecnologia/staroffice/ I really can't tell you if it covers anything as I don't speak Spanish

    Hi smithmdan,
The only thing I could find was: Video game console ROM emulator file. I would assume it has to do with the game you got. Or it is some sort of player?

    That is correct.

With a lot of help from a search engine and about an hour of surfing I came up with the answer to my question and a Sega Genesis Game Emulator that I never knew was out there.

Loaded the .smd (super magic drive) file into the emulator and kept my kids entertained for hours.

Guess we learn something new everyday.

    Thanks for all the help!
