    Hi

I have a mate with a broken motherboard, It's an AMD Socket A.

I have looked about but cant seem to get one anymore, there is a Socket AM2 Though.

    Is this the same ?

    Cheers

Socket A is NOT the same as AM2. It's got around 278 less pins!
Wish I could could locate a new Socket A board, too.
The last one I found at a computer fair last year was DOA. :(
