    I'm running a win98se on a P4X400 motherboard with a Celeron 2.7 CPU and 2 HDDs. One is 30 GBs, the other 120 GBs.

I partitioned the 30 GB into 3 paritions and the 120GB into 4. Then I did the MapDrive, but I probably screwed it up.

My registry Mechanic no longer works; it hangs up at about 25%; and My Computer folder won't come up. Partition Magic also stalls.

Other programs seem to be functioning. I can get on line and I can send and receive thru OutLook Express. In checking other programs a "Warning" message came up saying that ChaFan1 wasn't functioning properly. I don't know if this problem has anything to do with Patrition Magic also stalling

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Can you give more specific information on how the drives were originally partitioned and formatted and if they ever worked.

Also what exactly was done with "MapDrive"

Problem solved! Actually I had this Avatar long before Lynch, but it shows that he has good taste, doesn't it? :D

I went into the DOS Prompt, typed in scanred/restore and did a restore.
Had to redo my settings, but Im up and running.

Glad to see you're friends of Lynch. He's a good guy. (y)

Was it in the Linux threads? I had badly installed SuSe, and still haven't recovered emotionally from the hassle, so I was getting advice there. That's where I met Lynch.
