Weird post. I go to www.priorityclub.com and have an accumulation of points for hotel stays. They have another portal to where you go through it and it takes you to merchant websites, if you go in that way and make a purchase, you get more points. I can log in to a couple but many of the webpages are not available. I have contacted Priority Club and they keep saying it is a pop up blocker or something like that, I can get in to a couple but most I can't is there anything in my settings I should try?

I installed it but it had no affect. I can get everywhere else on the net except here. The page shows like service.bfast.com but I don't know what that is, the tech support I rec'd said to do something with that but I can't get any luck with it:confused:

Funny thing is, I can get to a couple of the portals using this site. when I go through the process and select Bass pro Shops, it takes me in perfectly. I don't understand why some work and some don't

here is what they said:

Thank you for contacting us. I have tried to shop using your account and was
able to go to the different portals offered by the web site. Please be
advised that the Priority Club Rewards Shopping program does not provide 3rd
party product support including web browsers, OS or Internet connections. If
you have problems with linking to a merchant on the Priority Club Rewards
Shopping website or you receive errors like: 'page cannot be displayed' or
'cannot find server' or if you get a blank page, then you may want to clear
your browser cache first. If that does not help and if you have ad blocker
and/or popup blocker, then you can try reconfiguring and/or disabling them.
Occasionally third party software (such as Kazaa, Norton Internet Security
or ad blocking programs) modifies your host's file, thus blocking access to
links at the Priority Club Shopping mall website. Re-modifying the host's
file could also help.
The host's file is located at one of the following places:
Windows 95/98/ME: c:\windows\hosts
Windows XP Home/Pro: c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts
Windows NT or 2000: c:\winnt\system32\drivers\etc\hosts
Linux: /etc/hosts
MacOS 8 and 9: System Folder: Preferences: Hosts
After the host's file is located, delete the following lines if present (you
can edit the text with notepad):
bfast.com
cc-dt.com
click.linksynergy.com
clickserve.cc-dt.com
www.commission-junction.com
linksynergy.com
myaffiliateprogram.com
qksrv.net
service.bfast.com
www.qksrv.net
Another option would be to disable your pop-up blocking software. There is a
variety of pop-up blocking software available and many different ways to
disable pop-ups and enable specific ones. If you have any of the following
popular software installed, you may have pop-up blocking software enabled.
You can either disable the pop-up blocking software all together or you can
enable specific pop-ups within the pop-up blocking software. Below is a list
of popular software that you may have installed that feature pop-up
blockers. Please check the help files to learn more about how to disable
pop-up blocking software and how to enable specific pop-ups.
AOL Toolbar or AOL 9.0
Google Toolbar
Yahoo Toolbar
MSN Toolbar
If you have Norton Internet Security installed, you will need to disable the
ad-blocking feature to be able to click through to the merchant sites or
maybe your Systems Administrator may be blocking you. If you are attempting
to shop from your office, the System Administrator could have restrictions
on your ability to shop online. In such instances, please contact your
Systems Administrator regarding this type of restriction being lifted, or
simply shop at www.priorityclub.com/shopping from another computer.

Have you followed the instructions and have you taken a look at your hosts file?

That's just it, I can't seem to figure out for sure how to do that. I am pretty good on this computer but I just can't seem to follow exactly what they are telling me to do. Can you help me?

Clear your cache and cookies. (Tools > Options, or Tools > Internet Options)

Do you have a pop-up blocker or ad-blocking software or a firewall? If so, disable them all temporarily and try it again.

Locate your hosts file according to the instructions and paste the contents here.

After the host's file is located, delete the following lines if present (you
can edit the text with notepad):

bfast.com
cc-dt.com
click.linksynergy.com
clickserve.cc-dt.com
www.commission-junction.com
linksynergy.com
myaffiliateprogram.com
qksrv.net
service.bfast.com
www.qksrv.net

Do you have any of these:

AOL Toolbar or AOL 9.0
Google Toolbar
Yahoo Toolbar
MSN Toolbar

If so, disable them or their pop-up blockers temporarily. Try it again.

If you have Norton Internet Security installed, you will need to disable the
ad-blocking feature to be able to click through to the merchant sites or
maybe your Systems Administrator may be blocking you.

If you are attempting to shop from your office, the System Administrator could have restrictions on your ability to shop online. In such instances, please contact your
Systems Administrator regarding this type of restriction being lifted, or
simply shop at www.priorityclub.com/shopping from another computer.

EDIT: Also, if you are using Firefox, make sure you either disable the pop-up blocker or add the site to the white (allowed) list.

What's the status now? :)

Are you connected thru a router? I have a Hawkings router and I have the same problem. Some secure sites I can access, some I can't. I'm certain that there is some setting in the router but heck if I can figure out which one it is.

Well I am connected through a cable modem. I can get just about anywhere on the internet except to a few of these portals.
