 I have the spysheriff program as well as a couple of others that have taken up residence in my competer system and I am unable to remove them. I've tried using spyware removal, no access- anti-virus, can't delete. My desktop is a constant blue screen with SYSTEM STOPPED in large red letters. (can't change) I am using Windows ME. I would really appreciate any assistance that could be provided. :)

How to show hidden files in Windows

http://service1.symantec.com/SUPPOR...Virus Corporate Edition&ver=8.x&osv=&osv_lvl=

Because XP will not always show you hidden files and folders by default,
Go to Start > Search and under "More advanced search options".
Make sure there is a check by "Search System Folders" and "Search hidden
files and folders" and "Search system subfolders"

Next click on My Computer. Go to Tools > Folder Options. Click on the View
tab and make sure that "Show hidden files and folders" is checked. Also
uncheck "Hide protected operating system files" and "Hide extensions for
known file types" . Now click "Apply to all folders"
Click "Apply" then "OK"

no, keep it if you know it's ok. I googled it and not much info on it so I presumed it was spyware!

Lara, please start your own thread, that way you'll get the attention you require and you will not get overlooked!

Just click scan and make a log, when the log pops up, click edit/click select all/click edit and choose copy, then copy and paste the log here in a new thread of your own!
