    Hi everyone,

I am having a really annoying and weird problem, when trying to access the internet (through all browsers - IE, Opera and Firefox) it will start to load the page, aparently "finish" loading the page, and theres nothing there.
I have no access at all, the network connect is showing very low amounts of data being transfered.
Everyone else in my house is ok though... We share via a netgear router. I'm the only one with this problem.
I have tried repairing the connection, disabling, re-enabling, auto-detecting.... The list goes on. I have also replaced the network cable.

I also noticed that my CPU has started maxing out, and my anti-virus (avast! 4.5 home edition) has been having problems.

I am also worried about these programs:
    cisvc.exe
    csrss.exe
    lsass.exe
    services.exe
    smss.exe

Here are the errors and warnings from event viewer:

    Errors:
    1. "Cleaning up corrupt content index metadata on c:\system volume information\catalog.wci. Index will be automatically restored by refiltering all documents.

For more information, see Help and Support Center at http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp."

    2. "Content index on c:\system volume information\catalog.wci is corrupt. Please shutdown and restart the Indexing Service (cisvc).

For more information, see Help and Support Center at http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp."

    Warnings:

    1. "1 inconsistencies were detected in PropertyStore during recovery of catalog c:\system volume information\catalog.wci.

For more information, see Help and Support Center at http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp."

    2. "The content index filter for file "c:\windows\internet logs\zalog2005.01.29.txt" generated content data more than 8 times the file's size.

For more information, see Help and Support Center at http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp."

That log is old but lets do a little more

    SpywareBlaster http://www.javacoolsoftware.com/spywareblaster.html
    AdAware SE 1.05 http://www.majorgeeks.com/download506.html
    SpyBot S&D 1.3 http://www.safer-networking.org/en/download/

DL them (they are free), install them, check each for their
    definition updates
and then run AdAware and Spybot, fixing anything
    they say.

In SpywareBlaster - Always enable all protection after updates
SpyBot - After an update run immunize

Do these and reboot before the next step.

Then get HiJack This http://www.majorgeeks.com/download3155.html, put
it in a permanent folder (C:\HJT) , run it , DO NOT fix anything, post the
    log here.

Launch the application, and click the "I know what I'm doing" checkbox.

    Then click Finish.

Print this and boot to safe mode
    Fix these with HJT

    View Hidden Files
Open Windows Explorer. Go to Tools, Folder Options and click on the View tab.
Make sure that "Show hidden files and folders" is checked.
Also uncheck "Hide protected operating system files".
Now click "Apply to all folders", Click "Apply" then "OK"

    Delete these folders

    C:\Program Files\VVSN

    START – RUN – key in %temp% - Edit – Select all – File – Delete
    Empty the recycle bin
Boot and post a new log

Also, one other question, when i run spybot it recognises NewDotNet as spyware....?

    "Company: New.net, Inc.
    Product: New.net
    Threat:

    Company URL: http://www.new.net/
    Company product URL: http://www.new.net/download/instructions_win_ie.tp
    Company privacy URL: http://www.new.net/policies_software.tp

    Functionality
New.net wants to give access to new non-official top-level-domains.

    Description
Even though they state that millions of users use their system, I've never run about such a domain, so I would call it safe to remove it without any loss. Also, New.Nets TLDs are not officially approved."
