Following a total loss of my computer I have re-installed windows 7 but cannot get any sound out of my computer.

I know my sound card is an ASUS 512 MD2 but can't find any drivers on line that I am willing to download because they are from download managers which I don't trust.

Is there a generic drive I can download to control my sound and if so where may I find it?

If your computer is a factory-brand one, advise us what brand name and model name and model number it is.

If your computer is a custom/home-made one, advise us what brand name and model number its motherboard is.

Did you reinstall Windows 7 32-bit or 64-bit?

The ASUS 512MD2 appears to be a graphics card and not a sound card.

Oh sorry, I am getting myself confused, yes that is my graphics card.

    I re-installed Windows 7 32 bit.

My computer is self built and the details are as below.

Your log shows an ATI Radeon HD 3600 Series graphics device and not an ASUS 512MD2 graphics card, so I'm the one who's confused.

The specifications for the ASUS N68C-S UCC motherboard shows it as having integrated NVIDIA GeForce 7025 graphics.

It also shows it as having integrated VIA VT1705 high definition audio.

If you click "Download" in the left column, then click "Drivers&Utilities Download - Windows 7", the list of Windows 7 32-bit drivers for that motherboard will appear.

The VIA audio driver is the second one down from the top of the "Driver" list.

Select a location to download it from, then save it inside an empty folder.

After you download and save it inside an empty folder, you need to extract its contents into that same folder.

After the extraction process is finished, double-click the SETUP.EXE file to install the VIA audio driver.

If you don't know how to download and save and extract and install a driver, have someone computer-knowledgeable help you do it.
