Solved: splitting a huge divx file part 2

I want to be able to split a divx file that is over 700 mb onto 2 cds then be able to play the cds in windows media player or the like,i tried a program called master split but it rendered the files useless unless i joined them back together.I dont want to do that,i want 2 files,each that can be played.

Hi,

You can get freeware tools to split large avi files into two smaller ones from www.divx.com

The 2 I use are AVIChop and AVIedit.

But don't forget to back up the original file first, because it can take a bit of practice to get the split filesizes the way you want them.
