I've got problems. I update and run Spybot, Ad-Aware, eTrust PestPatrol regularly. I have EZ Antivirus and EZ Firewall that I also keep up-to-date.
The problem is all the pop-ups, different web pages opened than requested, and my browsing has slowed to a crawl.
I use the pop-up blocker included with my firewall.
I've included my latest Hijack This log. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!
    Thanks

I'm sure somebody will check your HJT log shortly, but I recommend Ad-Muncher for pop-ups. I've been using it for over a year and never have had a problem. Check out: www.admuncher.com for a free trial. It also blocks those terrible banners etc.

Hijack This is running from the Temp folder. It needs to be in a permanent folder on the hard drive.
To make it easier, click here: http://thespykiller.co.uk/files/hijackthis_sfx.exe
Let it extract to Program Files
Then rerun it from there and post a new log

Better. Now we can proceed with instructions.

    Download about:Buster from:
    http://downloads.subratam.org/AboutBuster.zip
Double click aboutbuster.exe, click Update, click OK, click Start, then click OK.

With IE closed, run Hijack This again. Put a checkmark on these entries and hit "fix checked":

Boot into Safe Mode (start tapping the F8 key at Startup, before the Windows logo screen)

Because XP will not always show you hidden files and folders by default,
Go to Start > Search and under "More advanced search options".
Make sure there is a check by "Search System Folders" and "Search hidden files and folders" and "Search system subfolders"

    Next click on My Computer.
Go to Tools > Folder Options.
Click on the View tab and make sure that "Show hidden files and folders" is checked.
Also uncheck "Hide protected operating system files" and "Hide extensions for known file types."
Now click "Apply to all folders"
    Click "Apply" then "OK"

    Find and delete these files:
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\rsyncmon.dll
    C:\WINDOWS\Bolger.dll
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\sfg.dll
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\rtneg3.dll
    c:\windows\system32\mpxusy.exe
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\BundleLite_westfrontier1001.exe

Also in safe mode navigate to the C:\Windows\Temp folder.
Open the Temp folder and go to Edit > Select All then Edit > Delete to delete the entire contents of the Temp folder.

Go to Start > Run and type %temp% in the Run box.
The Temp folder will open. Click Edit > Select All then Edit > Delete to delete the entire contents of the Temp folder.

Finally go to Control Panel > Internet Options.
On the General tab under "Temporary Internet Files" Click "Delete Files".
Put a check by "Delete Offline Content" and click OK.
Click on the Programs tab then click the "Reset Web Settings" button.
    Click Apply then OK.

Empty the contents of this folder:
    C:\DOCUMENTS AND SETTINGS\HINSON~1.DOU\LOCALS~1\Temp

    Empty the Recycle Bin

    Reboot, post a new log

Did everything you suggested. Thanks. I couldn't find the mpxusy.exe file though. Seems like things may be back to normal. Here's the newest hijack this log. Let me know if there is something else to do.
It does seem like my cpu is running at about 30-100%. don't know if this matters.
    Thanks!

That sounds suspicious. When does it pop up? When you launch Internet Explorer?

Seems like it's only when I'm on a sight that I have to log into. Like techguy.org, ebay.com, etc.. There may also be other instances , but these are the only ones I'm sure of.

I am hoping this will fix the problem.

    Go to: Start > Run
    Type: services.msc
    Hit Enter

Scroll down for "System Startup Service"
Right click it and select "properties"

Click the "Stop" button and wait for Windows to kill the process.
Then change the "StartUp Type" drop-down menu from "Automatic" to "Disabled".

    Click Apply, then OK.

    Close the Services window.

    Open Hijack This

Click "Open the Misc Tools section"
Then click "Delete an NT Service"

    Type in: SvcProc
    Click OK

Hijack This should delete the service.

Now click the "Back" button in the bottom right corner.

    Run Hijack This again.

Place a checkmark next to this entry only, and click "Fix checked":

    O23 - Service: System Startup Service (SvcProc) - Unknown owner - C:\WINDOWS\svcproc.exe

    Boot back into Safe Mode

Go to Start > Search and under "More advanced search options".
Make sure there is a check by "Search System Folders" and "Search hidden files and folders" and "Search system subfolders"

    Next click on My Computer.
Go to Tools > Folder Options.
Click on the View tab and make sure that "Show hidden files and folders" is checked.
Also uncheck "Hide protected operating system files" and "Hide extensions for known file types."
Now click "Apply to all folders"
    Click "Apply" then "OK"

Find and delete this file: C:\WINDOWS\svcproc.exe

    Empty the Recycle Bin.

    Reboot, post a new log.

You've really been a great help Cheeseball. It seems that everything is fine now. No more pop-ups of any kind including Aurora (so far, so good)!! It feels like the internet is a whole new world again.
    Again, thank you..
