    Hi and welcome ;)

Download the trial version of Ewido Anti-spyware from HERE and save that file to your desktop. When the trial period expires, it becomes freeware with reduced functions but still worth keeping.

    • Once you have downloaded Ewido Anti-spyware, locate the icon on the desktop and double-click it to launch the set up program.
    • Once the setup is complete you will need run Ewido and update the definition files.
    • On the main screen select the icon "Update" then select the "Update now" link.
    • Next select the "Start Update" button, the update will start and a progress bar will show the updates being installed.
    • Once the update has completed select the "Scanner" icon at the top of the screen, then select the "Settings" tab.
    • Once in the Settings screen click on "Recommended actions" and then select "Quarantine"
    • Under "Reports"
    • Select "Automatically generate report after every scan"
    • Un-Select "Only if threats were found"

Close Ewido Anti-Spyware, DO NOT run a scan yet. We will do that later in Safe Mode.

    • Reboot your computer into Safe Mode now. You can do this by restarting your computer and continually tapping the F8 key until a menu appears. Use your up arrow key to highlight Safe Mode then hit enter.
IMPORTANT: Do not open any other windows or programs while Ewido is scanning as it may interfere with the scanning process:
    • Launch Ewido Anti-spyware by double-clicking the icon on your desktop.
    • Select the "Scanner" icon at the top and then the "Scan" tab then click on "Complete System Scan".
    • Ewido will now begin the scanning process. Be patient this may take a little time.
Once the scan is complete do the following:
    • If you have any infections you will prompted, then select "Apply all actions"
    • Next select the "Reports" icon at the top.
    • Select the "Save report as" button in the lower left hand of the screen and save it to a text file on your system (make sure to remember where you saved that file, this is important).
    • Close Ewido and reboot your system back into Normal Mode.

Run ActiveScan online virus scan: here

When the scan is finished, save the results from the scan!

Come back here and post a new Hijack This log along with the logs from the Ewido and Panda scans.

Uninstall SpywareBot from Add/Remove Programs (if listed there).

    Rescan with Hijack This.
Close all browser windows except Hijack This.
Put a check mark beside these entries and click "Fix Checked".

    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [SpywareBot] C:\Program Files\SpywareBot\SpywareBot.exe -boot

    O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [SpywareBot] C:\Program Files\SpywareBot\SpywareBot.exe -boot

Close Hijack This and boot into Safe Mode.

Find and delete these folders (if present):

    C:\Program Files\SpywareBot
    C:\Program Files\License_Manager

Also in Safe Mode, navigate to the C:\Windows\Temp folder.
Open the Temp folder and go to Edit > Select All then Edit > Delete to delete the entire contents of the Temp folder.

Go to Start > Run and type %temp% in the Run box.
The Temp folder will open. Click Edit > Select All then Edit > Delete to delete the entire contents of the Temp folder.

It's normal if some files don't delete!

Finally go to Control Panel > Internet Options.
On the General tab under "Temporary Internet Files" Click "Delete Files".
Put a check by "Delete Offline Content" and click OK.
Click on the Programs tab then click the "Reset Web Settings" button.
    Click Apply then OK.

    Empty the Recycle Bin.

Reboot, post a new Hijack This log.

    Log looks fine.

    * Click here to download ATF Cleaner by Atribune and save it to your desktop.
    • Double-click ATF-Cleaner.exe to run the program.
    • Under Main choose: Select All
    • Click the Empty Selected button.
      • If you use Firefox:
        • Click Firefox at the top and choose: Select All
        • Click the Empty Selected button.
        • NOTE: If you would like to keep your saved passwords, please click No at the prompt.
      • If you use Opera:
        • Click Opera at the top and choose: Select All
        • Click the Empty Selected button.

          [*]NOTE:
If you would like to keep your saved passwords, please click No at the prompt.
    • Click Exit on the Main menu to close the program.

    Download EasyCleaner: http://www.majorgeeks.com/download414.html

Use the clear files and Unnecessary files buttons – I do not recommend
using the Duplicates files button as many dupes are there on purpose.

Not all files will delete – that is normal.

In the unnecessary button, check the top 4 entries.

    CHEESEBALL81,

I have cleared most viruses apart from 2 found on panda scan (adware & hacking tool) see below:

    Incident Status Location

    Potentially unwanted tool:application/mediapipe Not disinfected hkey_classes_root\clsid\{B3E19860-0CD5-4991-A066-4FCA2704DE59}

    The log looks fine.
I wouldn't be too concerned with those findings but if you want, I can ask Cookiegal to prepare registry fixes for it.

If you dont mind , I would appreciate the registry fixes (better safe than sorry).
Could you also recommend a better security package to avoid further problems.
I would also like to thankyou for all your help.

Before we can do that, we need to find out where this one is located in the registry so please do this:

Download the Registry Search Tool here:

    http://www.billsway.com/vbspage/

Unzip it and run it. If your antivirus interferes you may have to disable script blocking in the antivirus. Copy and Paste the following in the search box:

    weirdontheweb

Copy and paste the results here please.

Run the search for weirdontheweb in the registry search tool and found no matches.

    Is there a problem?

It could have something else in its name.

Do two more registry searches, one for each of these words separately please.

Please download and run the following program(s):

    AD-AWARE

Go here and download Ad-Aware SE.

Install the program and launch it.

First, in the main window look in the bottom right corner and click on Check for updates now then click Connect and download the latest reference files.

From the main window, click Start then under Select a scan Mode tick Perform full system scan.

Next, deselect Search for negligible risk entries.

Now to perform a scan, click the Next button.

When the scan is finished, mark everything for removal and get rid of it. To do so, right-click in the window and choose select all from the drop down menu and then click Next)

    SPYBOT SEARCH & DESTROY

Go here and download Spybot Search & Destroy.

Install the program and launch it.

Before scanning press Online and Search for Updates .

Put a check mark at and install all updates.

Click Check for Problems and when the scan is finished let Spybot fix/remove all it finds marked in RED.

    Restart your computer.

I'm attaching a FixGJT.zip file to this post. Save it to your desktop. Unzip it and double click on the FixGJT.reg file and allow it to enter into the registry.

Reboot the computer and do another Panda ActiveScan and post the results please.
