In case you are wondering, PIA stands for pain in a$$. I believe I know how to fix my problem but would just like to confirm my actions before proceeding with more advanced users (expertise level: advanced). PC is running McAfee ver 7.1 and keeps alerting to a Vundo trojan and references ssqpo.dll but says it cannot clean it or delete it. I have searched for this file in both hidden and unhidden but cannot find it so I think this is a false positive I am getting. I believe it to be a registry link that needs to be removed. Ran adaware and removed lots of adware/spyware and ran Hi Jack this and found an entry for the ssqpo.dll and removed it. It seemed to work initially, but it came back upon reboot. I was getting an error message after login about Winlogon.exe encounter a problem and needed to close and then when I would restart the PC, I would get a blue screen that said "The windows logon process system terminated unexpectedly with a status of 0xc0000005." I removed two non important looking registry links and have since eliminated my blue screen but still get the virus alert. I believe the culprit to be in the Winlogon, Notify, ssqpo folder and then various other keys with dll Name C:windows\sys32\ssqpo.dll being one of them--I can get the complete drill down if necessary. I have made a backup copy of the registry and wish to remove this link. OS is XP sp2 and I did try the Symantec removal tool with no luck. Suggestions?

No telling if this will work after your tweaking

Please download http://www.atribune.org/ccount/click.php?id=4 to your desktop.
    · Double-click VundoFix.exe to run it.
    · Click the Scan for Vundo button.
    · Once it's done scanning, click the Remove Vundo button.
    · You will receive a prompt asking if you want to remove the files, click YES
    · Once you click yes, your desktop will go blank as it starts removing Vundo.
    · When completed, it will prompt that it will shutdown your computer, click OK.
    · Turn your computer back on.
    · Please post the contents of C:\vundofix.txt and a new HiJackThis log.

Get HiJack This V1.99.1 http://thespykiller.co.uk/files/hijackthis_sfx.exe - double click the DL file and click UNZIP letting it extract to its default folder C:\Program FIles\HiJackThis, run it from there, DO NOT fix anything, post the log here.
