For some reason I cannot record what I hear on my computer. Whenever I select stereo mix to record what I hear it records my mic. How can I record what microsoft sam says? That is what I am trying to do make him say something and record it. Please help me. I have a program called SoundMax to control my audio and such.
    Thanks

You can check to see if the manufacturer of your computer has released a new driver to add this support - it has been disabled in many drivers as a prevention measure for recording copyrighted material even though it has many uses, luckily many manufacturer's have restored the feature with newer drivers.

My computer is custom built so there is no manufacturer. I am using the sound card built into my motherboard. ASUs m2n-e.
