I've just setup a PXE boot server using OpenSuse 11 and Syslinux 4.04

I'm trying to boot from ISO images hosted on the server. The main image I'm trying to boot from is a Windows 7 PE ISO.. Basically the client machine finds the image, loads it.. but then I just get screen full of scrolling jargon..

I thought that maybe the TFTP server couldnt handle that ISO, so I downloaded a copy of Hirens and put that in with the same result.. I've tried different client machines, and different images with the same result - and there are no error codes.

Have attached a photo of the machine with the jargon after it loads the ISO.

You can use a Linux based server for windows PE environments. I get the same result when I try to boot a Linux based ISO, so I'm sorry to say your response just focused on the windows PE, isn't any assistance to me.. The way I look at it there is a config problem with the actual PXE setup rather than the images being booted.

Looks to me like you aren't loading the image into RAM, but are instead scrolling it out on stdout. Check your configuration and the flags you are using when you invoke pxe.
