Is anyone aware of how to use tcp optimzer to increase the speed of dial up and wireless internet connection speeds?

There are settings as defaults for the different connection types. But those settings are automatic since XP and setting it may actually slow things down for you. It is almost always better to let the OS determine the optimal settings.

    First Name:
According to its support site, the Compaq Presario F761US laptop comes with Windows Vista Home Premium SP1(32-bit) installed.

There's no need to use TCP Optimizer with Windows Vista or Windows 7.

If you're using 56K dial-up, there's very little (if any) that you can do to improve speed with any Windows version.

If you're still using that laptop with the original 1024 MB(1 GB) of RAM that came in it, you should max it out to its fully supported amount of 3072 MB(3 GB).

Windows Vista and everything else will run faster and better.
