I am having trouble with the settings on the display. I looks extremely grainy which it didn't before the clean install. When I use Control Panels the best that I get select is 16 colors, 640 x 480 megapixals, Standard PCI Graphics Adapter VGA, Color Management with no monitor profile. Something is wrong because the monitor looks the colors are washed out with and shadows. Definitely a change from before the clean install.

When you do a "clean install" you lose all the system drivers, including the video drivers.

Windows substitutes basic ones that allow the system to work but you have to reapply the correct drivers. Audio, Video, motherboard chipset etc.

Only then will the device function correctly.

Make sure that the drivers are for the version of Windows you run. Do not apply the BIOS update, it's not a "driver".
