I have recently taken about thirty pictures on my Samsung mobile of a building project being worked on and would like to transfer them to my PC. I read somewhere that I should attach my phone to my PC by using a USB cable, which I did, but all that happened was (under "My Computer") a message showing a new "Removable Disk". When I clicked on that it asked me to "insert a removable disk in that drive" which of course is no use to me! Do I need some sort of new software to do this, or what other options are there? Thanks.

If you Samsung cellular phone came with a charger which has a USB connector, you can use it to plug it in into your computer by using the USB connectors in your computer and let the computer download the drivers for your phone (which might take a few minutes). After your phone is recognized you can just open the file to view your pictures or open the assigned letter given to your phone and browse all files until you find your pictures in there.

Thank you both very much for your help and advice - all pictures now safely housed on my PC, and I will know how to effect that in future! Best regards. (Will mark "Solved" in due course).
