so i decided i'd try out the whole moving my page file to a different drive thing. i've done the necessary steps, but it won't move. i do get the message that i'll need to restart for changes to take effect, but it still remains on C: after i do. just for now i'm trying to put the pf on an external usb hd -- is that the problem?
my real plan is to use my 2nd IDE hard drive, which i haven't tried yet -- still need to format/partition it first. but i'm curious about the external drive aspect of this scenario. any suggestions?

The drive that you want it to be on has to be mounted in the computer and external drive just won't make it.
