Im trying to defrag my pc and I haven't completed one yet but it seems to hang up. I was reading on the microsoft site to delete the Applog folder in C:/Windows for this problem. (It's a hidden folder). I have Windows XP but the article is for Windows 2000. Is Applog and AppPatch the same thing. And is it safe to delete.

Muchos Gracias in advance.

Applog is a folder maintained by Taskmon on Win98/Me systems. (and shouldn't be on Win2K systems?)

Can you explain a bit more about your problem?

How long has this been happening?
How far does Defrag get?
What exactly do you mean by "hang up"?

Tx

BTW Have you done basic housecleaning such as deleting all \Temp files and folders. Clearing browser cache. Emptying the Recycle bin?
