Solved: TSG System Info Utility

    I've noticed that when I run the utility in preparation for posting about some problem, it always shows that my antivirus (Windows Defender) is installed but disabled. I also see this in the scans in the posts of others. Is this a bug? My Defender is most assuredly not disabled.

    Is your computer running Windows 8 or 8.1, and have you installed a third-party antivirus program?

    The TSGSIU app does have some bugs in it, so occasionally it won't display certain entries correctly.

    I'm running Win 8.1, fully updated. I have no other antivirus program.

    I believe there's a bug in the TSGSIU that causes it to show Windows Defender as disabled in Windows 8.1.

    Yes, it's a bug that is on the list for fixing in the next update but I don't know when that will be. As long as you're not experience any problems with WD it should be working fine. :)
