Often times, when using Excel, I need to make notes and usually mark them as lower case letters within parentheses. If I type (c), it gives me ©, the copyright symbol. I want to turn this "type assist" or whatever it's called in Excel, off. I looked through the help, etc. What do I need to do? Thanks!
    RTG

Tools/auto correct then select the (c) and delete using the button
