Solved: Two Drive Letters For C Drive

    I Have Just Installed A New Hd In My Pc And The Drive Letters For C Drive Are As Follows (c:)(c:).why Do I Have Two Letters And How Do I Remove One Of The Drive Letters? Thanks.

    Are you using Windows XP?

    Right-click on My Computer and select Manage.
    Then select Disk Management on the left pane.

    Tell us how your drives are configured at the moment.

    If you have a CD or DVD drive that's assigned D or E right now, you can try right clicking on each and assigning them to letters Y and/or Z. This will get them out of the way and free up D and E.
