Well, my mom told me about a virus pop-up AVG has been giving her. Both Norton and AVG can't seem to find when when you run a scan. I have personally only seen one of the pop-ups but she swears there are two different ones. Here is the one I have seen:

Trojanhorse.downloader.small.en

C:\SystemVolumInformation\-restore{9F61C17B-E981-4617-*A63-014AC8930422}\RP162\A0069916.exe

And here are the HijackThis logs:

Logfile of HijackThis v1.97.7

Hi Rycon Payne

Welcome to TSG! :)

This location.... C:\SystemVolumInformation\-restore{9F61C17B-E981-4617-*A63-014AC8930422}\RP162\A0069916.exe ... is in System Restore. The only way to remove it is to turn off system Restore to clear all restore points.

First Click here to download CWShredder. Close all browser windows,UnZip the file, click on the cwshredder.exe then click "Fix" (Not "Scan only") and let it do it's thing.

When it is finished restart your computer.

IMPORTANT!: To help prevent this from happening again, I strongly recommend you install the patches for the vulnerabilities that this hijacker exploits.

The simplest way to make sure you have all the security patches is to go to Windows update and install all "Critical Updates and Service Packs"

Go to Add/Remove programs and uninstall Virtual Bouncer.

Then run Hijack This again and put a check by these. Close all windows except HijackThis and click "Fix checked"

R3 - Default URLSearchHook is missing

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [BJCFD] C:\Program Files\BroadJump\Client Foundation\CFD.exe

O4 - Startup: Virtual Bouncer.lnk = C:\Program Files\VBouncer\VirtualBouncer.exe

O16 - DPF: {DDFFA75A-E81D-4454-89FC-B9FD0631E726} - http://www.bundleware.com/activeX/DS3/DS3.cab

Restart your computer and delete:

The C:\Program Files\VBouncer folder

Turn off System Restore:

On the Desktop, right-click My Computer.
Click Properties.
Click the System Restore tab.
Check Turn off System Restore.
Click Apply, and then click OK.
Restart your computer.

When you are sure you are clean turn it back on and create a restore point.

To create a restore point:

Single-click Start and point to All Programs.
Mouse over Accessories, then System Tools, and select System Restore.
In the System Restore wizard, select the box next the text labeled "Create a restore point" and click the Next button.
Type a description for your new restore point. Something like "After trojan/spyware cleanup". Click Create and you're done.

Excellent man! It seems to have worked, as no more pop-ups have shown up. If anything further arises I'll post here. Thanks again.
