This is a long shot but I don't know if anyone can help. A friend has been experiencing more and more problems getting connected to the internet using his broadband connection, to the point now that he cannot connect at all. Unfortunately I am a 100 miles plus from him but have managed to get, via a friend, a copy of a recently run HJT log. It may not be the most recent version of HJT but that is the best he can do at present.

Originally he thought it was a problem with NAV as the problem seemed to start immediately after running Liveupdate, and his ISP, who were about as helpful as a chocolate teapot, also felt this was causing the problem so he has unistalled both NAV and their firewall. To no avail.

I don't know if there is anything that sticks out from the log but if someone can cast a eye over things that would be very much appreciated, if not I guess he'll have to toddle off to the PC hospital locally.

Thanks for any help

I know it's outdated but as I said I am long way from him and he can't get connected to download the new version. That's why I said it was a long shot.

As for the ISP, though I don't know how this will affect things, it's Plusnet

Any help appreciated but please understand his situation

Thanks.

I am trying via a third party to get a copy of the new HJT app to him but it may take a while, also I am not sure it will help a great deal, but anything appreciated
