After a crash, ran repair from WinXp Pro disk, unable to reinstall ANY Norton product. Have followed all fixes on Norton, still nor success. It bombs out during the install, giving error of 'unable to complete setup, retry or cancel'.

After going thru this forum, I decided to try the HiJack software. The log follows. If you guys could help, I really would appreciate it.

thanks
TOM, the Iceman

Yea, I know. I installed trend because I couldn't reinstall Norton. I thought that I had got all of Norton out. But everytime I tried to reinstall it, it stopped at the 'config.msi' directory, then gave me that error.
txs for looking

Clean up the Symantec left overs and fix the 2 BHO’s

Print this, then close IE and fix and then boot

Hey MFDnSC!!

YOU THE MAN!!!!!! Norton is installed and running. The only thing extra I had to do was clean out the regristry and remove 'Symnetic" from under 'Machine" listing. The first install failed, but after I cleaned the regristry, it went fine. Just used your suggestions from HiJack log.

Thanks a bunch, I really appreciate it
