Hello,
When I go to start, run, then type in services.msc......and try to start my universal plug and play device host I get an error 1608: dependency service or group failed to start. Im trying to get my xbox 360 media center up and running with the windows one and this was one of the problems that would be a reason for it not to work. At least on the tech support site. But I would like to know how I can get that up and running again or install a new one or whatever it takes. Thanks

Make sure that SSDP Discovery Service is enabled. It is a dependency service and needs to be running.

Choose "Thread Tools" just above the first post of the thread. Then, choose "Mark Thread Solved."
