My computer Dell PC seems to be getting progressively worst as time passes. After returning from a three day vacation yesterday, I found a these messages, like screensavers, when the computer was logging off from no usage.
Norton’s is showing a high risk attempt to access the internet from C:\WINDOWS\system32\iphcj2sj0et23.exe; which if I block freezes the CPU.
This exe file(s) seem to in the WINDOWS\Prefetch which is I believe is my Photoshop’s folder?
Yesterday, I still had access to the internet, today Mozilla no longer associated with a file. I’m a little afraid to try IE.
The Desktop is in recovery mode.
Blue screen messages include…
Maximum wait object exceeded./Unexpected Kernel mode trap/Bad pool header
Etc. (there are many more)
Big red sign saying Warning Spyware Detected. I think it is meant to be the screensaver or over the screensaver.
Most MS office is missing except for access and frontpage.
MS automatic update (which was on) no longer is or will.
I have no restore point on my C drive any longer.
I do have a back drive which, yesterday, still had restore points for the C: and D: drive for about two weeks.
Do you think I could gain access to one of those files and repair my C: drive?
I do have my business LP which is clean to communicate or download software. That how I go HijackThis over to the PC.
Here is the HijackThis Logs.
Thank you in advance to anyone looking to help.

Hi Welcome to TSG!!

Please download ATF Cleaner by Atribune.

  • Double-click ATF-Cleaner.exe to run the program.
  • Under Main choose: Select All
  • Click the Empty Selected button.

Click Exit on the Main menu to close the program.

Download Malwarebytes Anti-Malware and save it to your desktop. alternate download link 1 alternate download link 2
  • Make sure you are connected to the Internet.
  • Double-click on Download_mbam-setup.exe to install the application.
  • When the installation begins, follow the prompts and do not make any changes to default settings.
  • When installation has finished, make sure you leave both of these checked:
    • Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware
    • Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware
  • Then click Finish.
  • MBAM will automatically start and you will be asked to update the program before performing a scan. If an update is found, the program will automatically update itself. Press the OK button to close that box and continue. If you encounter any problems while downloading the updates, manually download them from here and just double-click on mbam-rules.exe to install.
  • On the Scanner tab:
    • Make sure the "Perform Quick Scan" option is selected.
    • Then click on the Scan button.
  • If asked to select the drives to scan, leave all the drives selected and click on the Start Scan button.
  • The scan will begin and "Scan in progress" will show at the top. It may take some time to complete so please be patient.
  • When the scan is finished, a message box will say "The scan completed successfully. Click 'Show Results' to display all objects found".
  • Click OK to close the message box and continue with the removal process.
  • Back at the main Scanner screen, click on the Show Results button to see a list of any malware that was found.
  • Make sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected.
  • When removal is completed, a log report will open in Notepad and you may be prompted to restart your computer. (see Note below)
  • The log is automatically saved and can be viewed by clicking the Logs tab in MBAM.
  • Copy and paste the contents of that report in your next reply with a new hijackthis log.
Note: If MBAM encounters a file that is difficult to remove, you will be presented with 1 of 2 prompts. Click OK to either and let MBAM proceed with the disinfection process. If asked to restart the computer, please do so immediately. Failure to reboot will prevent MBAM from removing all the malware.

Cybertech,

First, thank you for replying to my post.
The issue is a .tt12.tmp malware. (Trojan.Vondu.H and Trojan.BHO.H)
There seem to be quite a bit of residual damage to other programs running, since many are missing.
While Window's restore does not show any restore points, I still have the Retrospect Express HD backups back for several months.
Should I try restoring from a date before the virus manifested and then rerun the Antimalware scans?

Regards,

If you are going to do a restore do that and post a new hijackthis log with details about how the system is running.

Otherwise follow these instruction.

Visit this webpage for instructions for downloading and running ComboFix.

Post the log from ComboFix when you've accomplished that, along with a new HijackThis log.

Run HJT again and put a check in the following:

O1 - Hosts: 212.227.64.159 www.winmx.com
O2 - BHO: (no name) - {00003ADB-162A-4529-BB85-C9C7940BAC48} - C:\WINDOWS\system32\gyeirecg.dll (file missing)
O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [molocha] C:\Documents and Settings\Alan\Local Settings\Temp\molocha.exe
O20 - AppInit_DLLs: obldfy.dll

Close all applications and browser windows before you click "fix checked".

You should remove all of the tools I requested you to download and/or folders associated with them now. It is pointless to keep these tools around as they are updated so frequently that the tools can be outdated within a few days, sometimes within just hours.

Follow these steps to uninstall Combofix and tools used in the removal of malware
  • Click START then RUN
  • Now type Combofix /u in the runbox and click OK. Note the space between the X and the U, it needs to be there.

Now you should Clean up your PC
