Solved: updater.exe

    when i restart my computer i get and error that says "updater.exe-unable to lacate components.....msvcp71.dll was not found...what can i do to fix this?

    -click Start

    -Run

    -Type: msconfig

    -go to the startup tab

    -uncheck the updater.exe

    -reboot

    tell me what happens, this is what i would do,
    lemme know if this was of any help!

    thanks that helped. i turned off a couple other things that were bugging me on startup also. but what is the updater.exe and do i need to fix it?
