I have a old Sony Vaio computer that was in storage. It has XP Home with IE6. I tried to upgrade to IE8 and install service pack 3. But it wouldn't upgrade to IE8 and when I tried to dl sp3 it said computer has a different version than expected, what did they expect? Thanks in advance for the help.

Right-click My Computer, then click Properties.

Advise us what's listed in the

    System:

    Computer:

sections in the "General" tab - EXACTLY as you see it there.

What's the complete model number of that Sony VAIO?

Note: It will be 2 sets of numbers and letters, separated by a dash.
