    Hi,
My computer suddenly can not recognize my external hard drive. I've tried through all the USB ports. One of two memory sticks is still recognized, but that's only one. So the USB is still working. Just not recognizing.

I have WindowsXP on the computer.
    Thanks.

Does your external hard drive make any rotation noise?
If yes then place the hard disk close to your ears and listen if there are any beeps coming from it.

PC... the External hard drive was always working, with my other computers... I do seem to have trouble with the usb's on my pc... also dust! We heat with wood & it is crazy how fast things dust up.
