Solved: Using paint.net and skin studio

I've searched online, but may not be using the correct keywords - but i am trying to change the vista start icon using skin studio (the latest free version), and i can change the icon using paint.net as it opened up by default, my question is where is the guide that shows me how to mod the icon.
