I've heard that you can make a Windows 98 Live sort of disc. A copy of Window 98 that can boot off a CD or DVD. I plan to make one of those with a set of recovery tools on it so I can fix my machine if it breaks. What tools would you recommend to put on this CD. So far I am including Partition Magic 8.0...............and thats about it. I appreciate the help.

might want to check out this site..Ultimate Boot CD..it has all the tools already ..

Ultimate Boot CD runs independently of any operating system. It will boot from any Intel-compatible machine, regardless of whether DOS/Windows/Linux/BeOS is installed on the machine. However, you do need an operating system and a ISO-capable CD writer software to create the Ultimate Boot CD from the downloaded ISO image file.
