[SOLVED] Video Card Problems?

Whenever I play any games with decent graphics ever now and then my Sound and Video well get really choppy and lag hard. (Like Counter-Strike or Super Nintendo Emulators) I have no idea what could be causing the problem.

My computer specs are..

1.5Ghz Pentium 4 Compaq.
512 Ram
Geforce 2 MX 400 Vid card.

download latest direct x ( 8.1 i think)

download lates drivers for video card

download lates sound card drivers

make sure you have your windows install fully updated ( see windows update)

Dont worry about it, I fixed it using system restore after I ****ed it up so bad i had to start up in safe mode. But thanks for your help.
