Ok so I have been installing vista 64bit for the last two days completed it a few times and it works perfectly fine I can install programs no problem. Then when I update it (there's like 70 some updates) it does the updates and then I restart it like it says to. When it restarts it installs all the updates and then it goes to the "Shutting Down" which I have waited for about 2 hours and still hasn't shut down. So I restarted it and now it comes to the windows loading screen with the bar scrolling across. I have waited around an hour and a half on this screen and it still wont load. I have tried unplugging all my other hard drives and making sure there's nothing in the drive. I am not sure what to do? Should I wait untill the shutdown screen really does shut down (even though it might take forever)?

How many of these 70 or so updates are getting installed at this time?

I would limit them to about 10 or less at a time, starting with the older ones first.
